Mapping the New Normal

Project type

Design Research

Date

April 2022

Location

Bloomington, IN

This design research project was focused on exploring the emotional impact of the pandemic on people and synthesizing these emotions into a beautiful infographic. The project included two separate initiatives, each of which used human-centered design approaches to understand how people were feeling during the pandemic.

This project was a good example of how human-centered design approaches can be used to address complex social issues such as the pandemic. By focusing on the emotions of people and using design thinking to synthesize them into a visual representation, we were able to provide insights into the human experience of the pandemic that went beyond mere statistics. This approach can be useful in a wide range of contexts, from designing products to creating social change.
